The perfumes and cosmetics sector is a key industrial activity in the Centre-Loire Valley region and was recognised as a national competitive cluster in 2005, under the name “Sciences de la Beauté et du Bien-être” – a label that confirms the status of this regional sector, which has been organised as a Local Productive System for several years now.
The sector developed in the 1970s, and has been participating in promotion of the « Cosmetic Valley » association’s activities for the last ten years.
